<  South Australia  ~  Saab Support Rally - Adelaide 17th January

PostPosted: Mon Jan 11, 2010 6:28 pm Reply with quote Report this post
Date: Sunday 17th (Hopefully it's a bit cooler than this weekend)

Meeting place: IKEA (near Adelaide Airport)

Time: 10.00 am. Breakfast at IKEA

Plan: To drive from Ikea to General Motors Holden at Elizabeth.

Bring Saab banners, flags etc. and "Save Saab" signs available from

http://www.flickr.com/photos/aussielars/4265604564/

This will be a peaceful rally to show solidarity with our overseas counterparts and

we don't want to antagonize Holden workers, many of whom are still working short

shifts. We want to save Saab. We don't want to damage Holden!

I'm hoping to get 10 Saabs. That would be a good achievement for Adelaide.

Dunno if I'd make this as I'm in Sydney from today and won't get back to SA until late Saturday night on the 16th (relocating family over this week), however I did note the flickr link isn't working and the flickr site says the image was deleted. I did notice another 'save saab' pic here in the same photostream.

Craig.

Hi,

It went very well. Mark Cour and his dedicated band of SAAB supporters got special mention on Saabs United and Autobild:

Check out our earlier post about it:

The Adelaide convoy went well. Hopefully we can have a much bigger celebration run in the not too distant future!

Thanks,

Mark.
