I need to garage my 9-3 for about 2 months while overseas. What should I do about the battery :?

Hi there,

I think you only need to take off the negative lead of the battery.
When you come back, reconnect it.

Thanks

Hi Neil...

I would be inclined to leave the battery attached and just hook up a trickle battery charger to it. That way you can keep the car locked and alarmed whilst away.

I keep my 900 Aero on constant charge as don't drive it that often.

I would look at getting a charger that offers a maintenance charge rather than a simple charger. That way i will turn itself off, and will monitor for any voltage drops and kick in again... and won't over charge the battery!

Recommend filling the tank full of fuel and give it a good wash before storage too!

2 months isn't too long a time to be too concerned about anything going wrong, but if you keep it charged it will be right to go when you get back!

Good luck!

Steve
